Frank's Red Hot

Frank's Red Hot is enjoyed by almost anybody who likes to eat spicy foods. It is a sauce with exceptional flavor that goes with essentially any savory meal. This is evident by their motto "I put that S#!T on everything" Frank's has a pretty decent but mild kick for my taste, for some people it may have a more intense kick. Frank's has a variety of different flavors, ranging from Frank's Hot Original to flavors like Stingin' Honey Garlic, Sweet Chili and even Xtra Hot.

The most universal Frank's Red Hot flavor and perhaps the most popular, is Frank's Hot Original to the surprise of nobody. One could argue that it is this way because it was Frank's first flavor so it got a head start if you will and it is the classic hot sauce. Frank's Original uses aged Cayenne Red Peppers which have a peak heat measurement of about 50,000 Scoville units (SHU) however aged peppers tend to be hotter. Frank's Xtra Hot is just over four times the level of spice of Frank's Original. Frank's Original has a heat measurement of 450 SHU and Frank's Xtra Hot has a measurement of 2,000 SHU. Some Frank's flavors take priority in having a better flavor and less about having more spice, for instance, Frank's Stingin' Honey Garlic has a lower heat measurement because it uses Cayenne Peppers that aren't aged, unlike Frank's Original or Frank's Xtra Hot.
